Contact management: It’s easy to manage your contact list with GetResponse‘s list management tools. You can create a list and import existing contacts, add new contacts, segment and filter contacts, and track the growth of your lists. With automatic list hygiene, GetResponse processes opt-out requests and bounces to keep lists free from problems. GetResponse boasts a 99 percent email deliverability rate. 

CRM: One impressive feature with GetResponse is that you can create custom pipelines for sales and build customer profiles. You can spot opportunities and track all your leads in the CRM. 



Email creator: With GetResponse’s drag-and-drop editor, creating responsive emails is doable for a marketer of any skill level. To begin, you can choose between GetResponse’s drag-and-drop email editor or HTML source editor. If you choose the drag-and-drop editor, you are directed through each step to ensure you don’t miss anything, such as creating a catchy subject line. You can start with one of GetResponse’s templates or create your own email from scratch.  You can preview your email so you know how customers will see it on both mobile or desktop devices. The editor lets you drag items like headers, text blocks, and image blocks directly into the email. You can scale, resize and crop pictures. It also has 1,000 free stock images to choose from. Once you finish designing your email, you can check to see how it will look in different inboxes. You can also check the SpamScore to determine whether your email will successfully be delivered to contacts. It’s not just emails you can create with the editor, you can also build responsive landing pages including opt-in, sales, promotions or download pages.

Email templates: With more than 500 newsletter templates, it’s easy to find one that fits your business. Templates are available for an array of areas, including fitness and wellness, travel, retail and e-commerce, health and beauty, creative agencies, online coaching, education, automotive and more. 

Forms and surveys: GetResponse has forms and other templates available that you can leverage for your business, including newsletter sign-ups, order forms, free download, event sign-up, seasonal forms and blank forms. A/B testing is also available for forms, and you can add custom fields to create detailed user profiles. Web forms can be integrated with applications such as Facebook, WordPress, PrestaShop, Joomla and WooCommerce. Surveys can be used for no extra cost. You can add your brand logo, create a survey with up to 50 pages, use multiple-question formats, send surveys in a newsletter or make them available on your website. Once the surveys are completed, GetResponse collects the data and analyzes it.Ease of Use



When you sign up for GetResponse and confirm your account, you are greeted with a welcome screen that offers a tour of its dashboard. The tour explains the different buttons and features. If you have a question, you can browse GetResponse’s tutorials and blog. It has an expansive knowledgebase with answers to questions like how you create and send newsletters, how to start a workflow with multiple conditions and how to set up regular imports to your lists.  You can also sign up for a webinar and schedule a free consultation with GetReponse when you open your account. 

GetResponse’s tools are also easy to use. Its email editor and automation tools are drag-and-drop. However, the tools aren’t as easy as some of our other top picks. It may take you a little longer to get acclimated to its editor, but it’s still easy to use. When we used it, it took us about 20 minutes to create a professional-looking email.Drawbacks

There are hitches with GetResponse. First, while this drag-and-drop email creator is easy to use, it’s not as simple as tools from other email marketing platforms we evaluated. It was slow to load and make changes, which can be frustrating when you want to create and send out emails quickly. Also, if you have a spam score above a certain number, you can’t send emails, and it’s not always clear why your number is high. 

The second concern occurred when we sent our email to Gmail accounts, which for many of our recipients landed in the Spam folder. Third, while GetResponse offers affordable plans for businesses and a 30-day trial, it doesn’t have a free version.
